Ump on a Blog

Anybody with an IQ higher than their inseam measurement recognizes this “Birther” faction for what it is: a collection of whiny, sore-loser suck-wad damned-fool-idiot-dirtbag shit-for-brains with the common sense of a garden hose. But the question still remains: what kind of crackpots are they?

Do we lump them in with the conspiracy-theory nut-jobs who believe that the 1969 moon landing was really faked from a sound stage outside of Van Nuys? Are they like the annoying but relatively harmless you-can-make-your-own-diamonds-with-purified-charcoal-and-a-jackhammer-I-have-the-instructions-on-my-G1 geeks? Do they resemble the pasty-faced twenty-somethings who speak Klingon and memorize the names of the Ceylon outposts from Battlestar Galactica?

Or is it something more than that? Are they really just fabricating some self-reinforcing delusion to mask the racist undercurrent motivating them to try to bypass the rule of law and subvert the will of the American people? Have they found what they purport to be a legitimate means to crawl out of their holes and start publicly voicing their revulsion to a minority President, instead of staying in the shadows spewing their bigoted bile via anonymous identities over the internet?

Are these people more like the Holocaust deniers than we think? And if so, are they worthy of more law enforcement attention than we’re giving them? If we had looked more closely at Von Brunn a month ago, that brave and self-sacrificing security guard would be alive today. What could these white-hooded filth do tomorrow, and how many innocent people would die in the process?

It’s worth considering.
